A new chapter. Independent bookshop reopens in Yass.

Hello and welcome to Blue Door Books. So wonderful you are here and have found us in this little corner of the internet. My family and I are the lucky new custodians of the bookshop in Yass, now 'Blue Door Books'. Firstly I would like to say a very big thank you to Jodie and Jo who have built and grown this community of book lovers before us, I would really love to add and extend to the experience of this community in meaningful ways.

Nestled in the heart of Yass, now on the main street, 135 Comur Street, this beautiful old building has had many uses and has many a story to tell I am sure. Blue Door Books aims to be a warm and inviting space that sparks curiosity and celebrates the joy of reading.

There's something special about independent bookshops, more than just a place to get a good book - a place where conversations begin, ideas are shared and stories find their way into hands of readers who will treasure them. In a world that moves so quickly, books invite us to slow down and encourage us to imagine, learn and reflect. Blue Door Books fosters all of these special qualities.
